“I write entirely to find out what I am thinking.”
Monthly Group Writing - Let’s Write Together!
We start with a brief centring, embodiment exercise. I will read a poem to set the mood and offer a prompt before we write for 20 mins.
When we return to the Zoom screen we share reflections, our writing or our listening ear to celebrate each other’s words and captures. Expect the magic of human hearts attuning and creativity flowing.
My hope is that together we can bring light to all of our stories. To our humanity — our similarities and our differences — and to the scars that inevitably come with life. Much can be mined from our losses, disappointments, plot-twists.
Some of you are seasoned writers, some of you journal for your own consideration only, some I know are keen to share what is pouring out of you like heated gold into the salty ocean where words cool into shape and new meaning becomes evident.
A story shared is a powerful force. Perhaps the ONLY force that can truly change our world; our inner and our outer experience. I believe we can heal our experience of community as we share our creative ideas, our experiences and our desires for our future. As we enter, via story, into an embrace larger than we think is humanly possible.
Come with your chosen writing materials and a willingness to immerse and connect in our Zoom space. No pressure. Just a chance for some writing and sharing.
This is an opportunity to listen and learn: first and foremost to yourself. Then to one another.
WRITING as a personal tool can shed light, understanding and clarity on the stories that serve you and the outdated stories that you might wish to change.
WRITING TOGETHER opens our collective eyes and hearts. I curate a safe and brave space ease into writing from your embodied centre. I encourage you to listen within and write from that voice inside. That voice carries wisdom for you, is valuable to others and needed in the world. I provide the space, the attunement, the encouragement to voice. And a safe place to attune to others and share with them.
“Your event was HUGE for me! I wrote a poem - the last time that happened I was a teenager and it was under duress. And, there was so much learning for me and many reminders - all coming at me in a gentle way. Thank you Emma!”
